Citizens Advice Central Dorset is committed to principles of equality, and values diversity

We are looking for cover for the Cost of Living Caseworker role in the North Dorset area. This temporary position is for 18.5 hours per week and will run from 2 January 2026 until 2 April 2026.

The role will provide direct support to clients affected by the cost of living crisis. By focusing on income maximisation, the postholder will help local people to access the full range of benefits to which they are entitled, as well as identify other forms of financial support, including grants. A key part of the role will involve working with local partners such as Food Banks and community organisations to receive referrals and ensure clients have access to the widest possible range of resources.

The postholder will be expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to supporting people in financial hardship, along with an understanding of the challenges they face. They will also uphold equality and diversity principles and actively challenge discrimination in all its forms.

Location: Gillingham Citizens Advice Office

Hours: 18,5 per week

Contract: 2 January 2026 – 2 April 2026 (temporary cover)

Hourly rate: £16.03

We are looking for cover for the Caseworker role at The Vale Pantry in Sturminster Newton. This temporary position is for 12 hours per week and will run from 2 January 2026 until 2 April 2026. The role will continue the important work of supporting clients across two subject areas at The Vale Pantry Foodbank.
