Welcome to Citizens Advice Central Dorset
Citizens Advice is an independent service providing free, confidential and impartial advice to everybody regardless of race, gender, disability, sexuality, nationality, ethnicity, religion and belief. Our funding comes from a mixture of local authority funding and other sources which are listed on the Projects page.
We are here to help and advise on a full range of issues and problems and we are impartial, independent, confidential and free.
Citizens Advice continues to provide support to people in Dorset who need advice in these difficult times. Free, independent and confidential advice and information whatever your question.
During the new lockdown from January 2021 we are open for triage at our Dorchester and Gillingham offices but our face-to-face service at our Sherborne and Weymouth & Portland offices, and all outreaches, are temporarily suspended.
We will keep this position under constant review.
Our triage service is provided within the government guidelines on social distancing.
For detailed information on how to access advice at this time please visit our Coronavirus Update page.
People come to us with all sorts of issues. You may have money, benefit, housing or employment problems. You may be facing a crisis, or just considering your options.
We value diversity, promote equality and challenge discrimination wherever we see it.
