Based in the North Dorset area, the post will directly support clients to deal with the Cost of Living Crisis. By providing income maximisation, the postholder will enable local people to access the full range of benefits which they are entitled to and will also identify a wide range of other financial support including grants. A key part of the role will be working with partners such as Food Banks and other community partnerships to receive referrals and to ensure access to the widest possible resources for clients.
The post holder will demonstrate a commitment to helping people as well as an understanding of the challenges faced by people experiencing financial hardship. The post holder will also demonstrate a commitment to equality and diversity and will actively challenge discrimination in every form.
Hours: 18.5 Hours per week
Salary: £15.56 per hour
Location: Blandford
Term: 31st September 2025
Start: As soon as possible

Citizens Advice Central Dorset requires an experienced caseworker to join our team. This role is based at The Cranborne Practice in their Cranborne and Verwood surgeries
Our long standing GP Surgery Project requires an experienced caseworker for The Cranborne Practice outreach which is based in Cranborne and Verwood. It is expected that you would work alternate Fridays at either location.
You will provide generalist casework and have experience of dealing with a wide range of topics including Benefits, Housing, Debt and Employment issues.
Hours: 6 Hours per week (Friday)
Salary: £15.56 p/h
Location: The Cranborne Practice, Cranborne and Verwood
Term: 31st March 2025 (with potential for extension, subject to ongoing discussions)
